Seagull and I in Primošten

Seagull and I in Primošten

There is a couple of days in Primošten ahead of me… and every time, as we plan our trip to Primošten the plan repeats over and over again… because the big adventure awaits us… oh yes, it is necessary to prepare all the equipment for vacation. I’m fixing the motorbike engine, buying new lures for fishing because those are the ones that will make me a great fisher nowadays… and even now, while I hold them in my pocket, I’m afraid that something will catch. I’m charging tanks for diving and servicing the regulator... but of course I’m also snorkeling with a rifle so I’m checking is there anything else that I’m missing for this activity. Hm, are the fins OK? With these I can no longer catch a bream; the bream that is secretly watching me while I’m getting close to it.  Ha ha ha… my biggest catch was the bream I caught in Konzum (the local store) and it was free from shells; but still I concluded: Bobulo it’s time to buy new fins. And it would not be such a bad idea to buy some new “dirty fit” T-shirts and shorts so that out photographs looks like for magazine Gloria when we climb the mountain. All that fuss and pressure that I’m going through these day make me crazy and it crosses my mind just to take a towel and swimming suite, or better yet do not go at all, but hello… who can go somewhere, and not taking all outdoor gadgets you have because these few days off I was waiting for a long time.

I put everything in the car and around the motorbike, and finally it is time for departure. Finally we arrived in Primošten, but even though I thought that I carried it all I have seen that there is Hobby cat catamaran and that it will be some sailing this week. Awesome! Still, there is no rush first we had a cup of coffee and after that we’ll start to draw something out of Sport Billy bag for today. We are taking a slow walk toward the center and after a long 5 minute walk we are already sipping coffee, reading the newspaper on the terraces near to the beautiful beach with the sea aroma and the view to the peninsula with the old town. Yes, I was always saying that Primošten is one of the most beautiful Dalmatian places and the time proved that I was right! The beauty of the view overwhelmed me and I have almost forgotten to all arsenal of equipment that used to attract me just few hours ago.

We finished the coffee and as we are passing through the market we are looking at today’s offer of Dalmatian fruits and vegetables.  When we arrived, a mix of colors and flavors welcomed us, so we bought enough so that we can enjoy true Dalmatian cooking.  As we are walking to our home we concluded that it is too late for scuba diving and too hot for a long walk through miles and miles of marked, but truly perfect hiking and biking trails. While we were eliminating almost every possibility to active time consummation, we decided to go to the beach until the sun falls down, caring nothing but towels.

The beach is perfect, hassle-free, and I could say that we were there alone with seagulls... some boats and sailboats anchored in the bay combining the turquoise sea created a picture of Dalmatia that made it one and the only.  When only a step shares you from the possibility to jump into one of the most beautiful sea in the world, and that you are not among the hundreds of other swimmers. Besides, you have also the opportunity to enjoy in the historical and cultural experience because from every corner you can have a view of the old historical part of Primošten. Opportunities to take photos I have only using my cell phone, but it will be good enough for transfer this vacation experience. My dear seagull, this time an adventure I will leave to you so I’m singing “Fly my seagull fly away, far, far away, out of all seas that you will be landing, you should say that the heart sends you”... Primošten and Dalmatia are the Mediterranean flowers.
